BOB BORDEN
|||| For proof that Jay's not lying (because Jay never, ever tells the truth about where he and his boat are headed) about Bob's unreal selection of tying paraphernalia, investigate the goods at Hareline Dubbin.

BOB BORDEN: Bob's genius is pure, old-school innovation. His Borden Special has been the go-to for sea-run cutthroat forever but he still delivers cool new stuff. He transformed quaint little Monroe, Oregon, and a moonlight operation tying flies and dyeing materials into the premier, international, fly materials wholesaler - Hareline Dubbin. He has access to every conceivable material, hook, tool, and fly sample from Iceland to Tierra del Fuego; his tying bench must be a 100,000 square feet. A man of few words (yep, nope, and yeah, I can dye that if you want a hundred pounds), this Copenhagen-chewing genius is keyed into lake fishing lately and has shared a few of his killer flies. He must've grown gills and spied on feeding trout to design these beauties. Think giant trout eat the Magnum Chub, Magnum Roach, and Threadfin Shad? Duh. Leeches? Chuck a Crosscut Leech or a Krystal Dub Leech lakeward and hang on. Oh baby.
