JASON YEAGER: I am proud to be the charter member of the Jason Yeager fly angler research team (F.A.R.T.) Many days guiding over the past dozen years on the Gunnison have started with Jason giving me a handfull of flies and saying, "Hey, give these a try." The flies that he gives me are usually exactly the flies I am missing from my box - whether they be small foam dries the 80-year old guy in the back of the raft can see or the never-sink hopper that finally fools the big brown in the dead water. Little did I know these flies would eventually gain fame as the Yeager's 409 and the Popper Hopper. Those days that began with Jason's "Hey, give these a try" usually ended with my, "Hey, you got any more of those?"
